The Amazon Medical Project

The Amazon Medical Project, Inc. is an organization that supports the efforts of ACP Fellow, Dr. Linnea Smith, who provides basic health care to the people of Peruvian Amazon jungle. Services include family medicine, prenatal care and birthing, dental care, vaccinations, treatment of snakebite, parasites, infectious diseases, malaria and trauma. Volunteer opportunities are available for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and 4th year medical students. Volunteers must speak Spanish.
