Statement of Ethical Managed Care Principles
The working group, led by Gail Povar, MD; developed a joint statement of ethical principles to help guide all parties involved in the delivery of managed care. The group's report entitled, Ethics in Practice: Managed Care and the Changing Health Care Environment was endorsed by the ACP's Board of Regents, and it was published in the July 20, 2004 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine.
