About the Center
The Center for Ethics & Professionalism is devoted to policy development and implementation on issues related to medical ethics and professionalism, and as a resource for ACP members and the public.

Current projects focus on end-of-life care, managed care ethics, and professionalism issues such as physician-industry relations. The Center also develops position papers on current topics, case studies that explore common ethical dilemmas for patients and physicians, educational programs and resources, and performs advocacy and outreach efforts.

Ethics, Professionalism and Human Rights Committee
The Ethics, Professionalism and Human Rights Committee develops and implements College policy on bioethics, human rights, and professionalism issues, and develops educational sessions on these issues as well. It also oversees the process for the review of complaints of unethical conduct against members of the College in accordance with established rules and procedures.
