Welcome!

Welcome to the ACP Resident and Fellow Career Counseling Web Page. Within this site we present information that will help plan your entry into the practice world. The site contains very practical information on how to find and evaluate the career situation that is best for you.
We have written a series of articles that describe tasks that should be completed as part of your entry into the job market this July. Other articles in this site provide practice data and other important information that will aid you in making decisions around selecting your position.
In addition to being organized by topic, the articles are ordered along a "timeline." The timeline represents your last year of residency or fellowship training, and the placement of the articles along the time line is our attempt to provide you with a reference as to when the tasks should be completed, or presents information at a time most likely to be useful in your decision making. Of course, feel free to scan the entire timeline and click on any article that interests you or fulfills an immediate need. Each month, a new task description or informational article will be added to the timeline, so check back frequently.
To begin, we suggest that you read Planning a Career Strategy. After that, feel free to explore the entire site. We welcome your comments about the page, suggestions about future articles, or questions about the content. Use the contact form to send us a message.
