Welcome to the ACP Archives

The American College of Physicians Archives collects, preserves, and provides access to the history of the College (as well as ASIM and ACP-ASIM) from its founding in 1915 until today. We ensure that the important documents and publications of ACP remain available to members, Regents, Governors, committee members and staff. We are the memory of ACP and we allow the organization to make the fullest possible use of over 90 years of collected experience.

Our archives department has produced an illustrated exhibit on the founding and eventual merger of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine, an article on the first 75 years of the ACP written by Archivist Emerita Bernice Lemley, and lists of College leaders, award winners and other historical information. Please take a moment to learn more about the fascinating history of ACP.
